About Kooka Arcade

Kooka Arcade is a tiny arcade under a gum tree: Creek Snake, Pond Pop and Gumnut Merge, ready the moment a page opens. It is named after the kookaburra, whose cackle is often the first sound of the morning in the eucalypts, and the dawn round takes its name from that early chorus too.

Each board grows from a number we call a seed. Give a game the same seed and it lays out the same rocks, the same bubbles or the same opening tiles, which is why a trail, pond or board number means the same thing on every phone. The games tick at a steady sixty steps a second, so a recorded run replays move for move.

Nothing here asks who you are. There is no sign-in, no advertising and no counting of visitors; scores and streaks sit in this browser and go nowhere else.

Pages come in English, Italian, Hungarian and Finnish. Spotted a clumsy sentence, or a rule that does not match what the game really does? Tell us and we will put it right.
